F.C. Copenhagen’s 11 international players

Eleven F.C. Copenhagen players from the first team squad will join their respective national teams this week.

This FIFA international break offers a number of crucial games in the last two rounds of the World Cup qualifiers.

It is unclear whether Andrija Pavlovic will be playing during the international break, but he has traveled to Belgrade for a scan and assessment on an injury.

Of FCK’s squad, only Michael Lüftner is completely ruled out of competing at the World Cup as the Czech Republic already cannot qualify.

Here we review our players' groups and look at the biggest matches over the next 10 days:

Zeca and Pieros Sotiriou meet
Saturday's showdown between Greece and Cyprus is as much a historic rivalry as it is a key match in qualifying for the World Cup. Greece and Cyprus are both capable of catching Bosnia for second place but require Belgium to also do them a favour.

1. Belgium 22 p. (Bosnia, Cyprus)
2. Bosnia 14 p. (Belgium, Estonia)
3. Greece 13 p. (Cyprus, Gibraltar)
4. Cyprus 10 p. (Greece, Belgium)

Jan Gregus and Benjamin Verbic clash in qualifying World Cup
Slovakia’s Jan Gregus and Slovenia’s Benjamin Verbic will go head to head in the battle for second place in their World Cup qualifying group, behind England. Scotland are also in with a chance of stealing that second spot but a win for England over Verbic’s Slovenia and they are through.

1. England 20 p. (Slovenia, Lithuania)
2. Slovakia 15 p. (Scotland, Malta)
3. Slovenia 14 p. (England, Scotland)
4. Scotland 14 p. (Slovakia, Slovenia)

Pavlovic eyes Serbia success
Andrija Pavlovic, if fit, could help Serbia qualify for a first major tournament since 2010. They have games against Austria and Georgia, with a four-point advantage over second-place Wales.

1. Serbia 18 p. (Austria, Georgia)
2. Wales 14 p. (Georgia, Ireland)
3. Ireland 13 p. (Moldova, Wales)

William Kvist in the Denmark side
Denmark face a massive match in Montenegro on Thursday and William Kvist could start in the the battle for World Cup qualification. Denmark and Montenegro are on the same points and three behind leaders Poland.

1. Poland 19 p. (Armenia, Montenegro)
2. Montenegro 16 p. (Denmark, Poland)
3. Denmark 16 p. (Montenegro, Romania)

Robin Olsen joins up with Sweden
It looks good for our Swedish neighbours, who are only one point behind group leaders France. A win over Luxembourg would be enough to see off Holland’s challenge for second place so long as the Dutch fail to beat Belarus away.

1. France 17 p. (Bulgaria, Belarus)
2. Sweden 16 p. (Luxembourg, Holland)
3. Holland 13 p. (Belarus, Sweden)

Lüftner has checked out
The Czech Republic are without chance of advancing to the World Cup and will play Azerbaijan away and San Marino at home.
