FCK Women end season with promotion and victory over FCM

F.C. Copenhagen Women rounded off a spectacular 2025/26 season with a 1-0 win over FC Midtjylland as players, fans and staff celebrated promotion to the A-Liga on Saturday.

With promotion already secured, the Lionesses sought to entertain the fans at Vanløse Idrætspark and put on a show against the play-off leaders.

Frederikke Trolle produced a stunning volley to win the match on 38 minutes, to send the 1,164 spectators in Vanløse Idrætspark wild.

The win means FCK finish joint-top of the promotion table with FCM, although the Herning club take top spot thanks to a superior goal difference.

Four teams are being promoted to the 2026/27 A-Liga, with ASA, Aarhus and OB Q joining the Lionesses and FCM.

The new season kicks off at the end of July.
