F.C. Copenhagen appoint Head of Football Administration & Operations
F.C. Copenhagen is further strengthening the organization within the football department with the appointment of Theis Frydenlund Rasmussen to the newly created role of Head of Football Administration & Operations, effective 1 December.
This appointment marks a new step in the ongoing effort to expand and strengthen the infrastructure surrounding our sporting department, with additional personnel set to join in the near future to bolster administration and operations.
Theis joins F.C. Copenhagen following more than 10 years at the DBU (Danish Football Association) – most recently as Administrative Head of Youth Teams & Tournaments. In that role, he held managerial responsibility for the administration and operations of youth national teams and international tournaments, while also playing a key role in the association’s technical forums and compliance initiatives.
Furthermore, he serves internationally as a UEFA Match Delegate. Theis therefore brings with him significant experience directly relevant to the responsibilities he will undertake at F.C. Copenhagen.
"Our goal is to build a stronger organisation around the team. By doing so, we aim to ensure the best possible environment for the squad and provide support to the talented colleagues we already have at the club," says Director of Football, Kristjaan Speakman.
"This new role provides us with greater scope and will better integrate our daily work and processes, enabling us to collaborate more closely and efficiently.
"With Theis, we are putting an important piece of the puzzle in place. He has a wealth of experience in leading strong professional environments, and we look forward to welcoming him to F.C. Copenhagen.”
Theis Frydenlund Rasmussen will take up his new position on 1 December.
