Elvin Mehicic extends FCK contract
F.C. Copenhagen are delighted to confirm an extension to 17-year-old striker Elvin Mehicic's contract.
Development Director Morten Grahn is pleased that the parties have agreed on an extended contract with the talented striker.
"Elvin is a big and strong striker with a good nose for goal and as an important playmaker in the team – a type of player that we are skilled at training at F.C. Copenhagen," says Grahn.
"Elvin was part of our talented U17 team that won the Danish Championship last year, where he scored an impressive 20 goals in the spring alone.
“He has developed enormously over the past year and he has become more consistent and focused in his performances. Now it is about building the next layers on his development towards the senior environment, and we are happy to be able to help Elvin continue with this at F.C. Copenhagen.”
Mehicic joined FCK Talent from Lyngby Boldklub as an U14 player, and he is also pleased about the contract extension.
“I am incredibly happy to extend my agreement with F.C. Copenhagen,” says Mehicic. “There is great motivation and inspiration for me in having seen how other talented strikers have made their way through F.C. Copenhagen.
“For me, the environment here is the right one for my further development. I feel really comfortable, and now it is about working hard every day and building on my game so that I can take the next steps."
