Assistant coach Kristoffer Wichmann extends contract
F.C. Copenhagen are delighted to announce an extended agreement with assistant coach Kristoffer Wichmann, who joined the club in the spring.
Wichmann joined F.C. Copenhagen's coaching staff in March 2026 as assistant coach with a special focus on set pieces. The original agreement ran until the summer, but after a positive process, the parties have now agreed to extend the collaboration.
Svensson: We have been very pleased with his work
For head coach Bo Svensson, it has been important to retain Wichmann ahead of the coming season.
"We have been incredibly pleased with Kristoffer's work since he joined the club in the spring. He has brought great enthusiasm, strong professionalism, and plenty of energy into the daily routine around the squad, and he has quickly found his place on the staff,” says Svensson.
“Kristoffer has shown that he possesses exactly the human and coaching qualities we need. Therefore, I am really pleased that he is continuing as a permanent part of the team.”
Wichmann: Looking forward to tackling a brand new season
Wichmann himself says he’s looking forward to building upon the foundation that was laid during his first few months in the capital.
"I have been incredibly happy with my initial time at F.C. Copenhagen, where I have been welcomed fantastically by players, staff, and everyone around the club. It has been an intense spring, and I am really looking forward to continuing the work we started," says Wichmann.
"Now we are facing a pre-season where we can truly add layers to our play, and I am greatly looking forward to tackling a brand new season together with Bo, the rest of the staff, and the entire squad."
The squad has its first day of training on Sunday 21 June.
