Ann-Kathrin Dilfer joins F.C. Copenhagen Women

F.C. Copenhagen Women can confirm the signing of German goalkeeper Ann-Kathrin Dilfer on a free transfer.

Dilfer, 23, has previously played in the Gjensidige Kvindeligaen (Denmark's top division) and joins the Lions after a stint at Brøndby IF

Klarskov: A bit of a scoop
FCK Women head coach Kasper Klarskov sees great potential in the newest addition to the squad.

“I think it's a bit of a scoop that we can bring in Ann-Kathrin Dilfer. Before her unfortunate injury, she was the best goalkeeper in the Women's top flight in my opinion, so we naturally hope that she can regain the same level," says Klarskov.

“Despite her young age, Ann-Kathrin has a lot of experience from the Kvindeliga and German top-flight football, and we're getting a keeper who, in addition to her saving game, is also really good with her feet."

Dilfer: Ready to give everything for the club
Dilfer started her career at Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim before switching to Danish football in 2021. However, a cruciate ligament injury has kept her out since the summer of 2024, and a controlled start is therefore planned.

Dilfer, who is working hard to be ready to play as soon as possible, says:

“I'm impressed with what F.C. Copenhagen is doing for women's football in Denmark right now. When it became clear that I would be changing clubs this summer, FCK were quick to reach out and present their vision. Even after our initial conversation, I was impressed by their professionalism and the trust they showed in me,” says Dilfer.

“I am very grateful to be joining a club with such great ambitions, and I am more than ready to give everything I have to help the club achieve its goals.

“I am a goalkeeper who really wants to be an active part of the game on the pitch – even if it sometimes involves calculated risks. However, I always try to be as calm and controlled as possible with the ball, and I hope that this can have a positive effect on my teammates.

"I am strong in the air and confident at set pieces.

“Seeing 18,000 spectators in the stands in Parken (in June) was incredible, and I am proud to now be part of such a unique project."
