Anders Storskov

Coach Anders Storskov leaves FCK

F.C. Copenhagen's physical trainer Anders Storskov has left the club following the season's last match on Monday against Manchester United.

"Anders has delivered an absolutely fantastic commitment to the club over the past 20 years and he has been a big part of the development we have been through at FCK," says manager Ståle Solbakken.

"The reason why we are now ending our collaboration is a restructuring of our medical sector based on a thorough external and internal analysis.

"This means that we have to work in a new way in a number of areas, including the area that Anders has been responsible for. We have chosen to find another person for that role.

"We will all miss Anders, who is much more than a colleague to us at Number 10 and we wish him all the best."

Anders joined FCK in 2000 and has since helped the club win, among other things, 12 Danish championships.

"I have had a lot of incredibly good years at FCK, where I have enjoyed working with talented colleagues and a sea of talented players," he said.

"Of course it's sad to say goodbye and I will miss everything and everyone, just as I hope for the best for everyone at the club in the future.

"At the same time I feel that I am ready to try other exciting things in my working life, and I have a lot of experience that I can take forward with me."

The new system around the medical sector and the coaching staff will be announced as soon as it is in place.

Everyone at FCK thanks Anders for his dedicated efforts for the club over many years.
