Oscar Buur joins Norwegian club Hødd on loan

F.C. Copenhagen have agreed to send talented young goalkeeper Oscar Gadeberg Buur on loan to Norwegian club Hødd for the coming season., who plays in the Norwegian 1st division. 

Buur, 19, moves to the Norwegian 1st Division club to earn more playing time in a competitive enthronement.

The goalkeeper received his football education at KB and F.C. Copenhagen's Talent Department and has been part of the first-team squad for a long time. 

The decision to send Buur out in loan has been is made because the young goalkeeper needs valuable minutes at senior level. 

Kristjaan Speakman, Football Director at F.C. Copenhagen, says of the agreement: “Oscar is a young, talented goalkeeper who naturally needs playing time as part of his development.

"This opportunity gives him matches, but also the experience of performing on his own away from us, where he is responsible for all aspects of his progress.

"We have great faith in his future potential and look forward to following him during this period.”

Buur sees the loan spell as a key step in his career development, saying: “It is important for me to get playing time at senior level. The good development plan has been laid, and now I am looking forward to getting playing time and using it in the fight for experience and maturation as a goalkeeper.”

With the loan spell, Buur now has the opportunity to build on his solid youth career, where he has, among other things, played for the club's U19 team and been part of Denmark’s U19 national team, while also training with FCK's first team. 

The loan agreement applies to the remainder of the Norwegian season.
