Hunor Németh og Sune Smith-Nielsen efter forlængelsen af aftalen

Hunor Németh extends his contract with F.C. Copenhagen until 2030

F.C. Copenhagen's 18-year-old midfielder, Hunor Németh, was promoted to the first-team squad after a successful pre-season this winter, and he has now signed a new contract running until the summer of 2030.

Sune: An International Top Talent

F.C. Copenhagen's Sporting Director, Sune Smith-Nielsen, has followed Hunor Németh’s development for several years through FCK Talent and knows the recent winner of KB’s talent award, Granen, very well.

“Hunor is a determined midfielder who is ready to work hard to reach his goals. We consider him an international top talent,” says Sune Smith-Nielsen.

“Throughout his time at FCK Talent, he has been a player his teammates could rely on in matches, and he handles pressure well. We’ve seen positive progress since his promotion to the first team.”

“Now he needs to prepare himself to take the next steps in his development. With this new contract, both he and the club have a sense of security that allows us to work with clear focus toward him becoming a key player for our Superliga team in the future.”

Hungarian-born Hunor Vajk Németh moved to Denmark at the age of three and has played with KB and FCK Talent since he was eight. He represents the Hungarian youth national team and has so far made 26 appearances across various age levels.

Németh: A Sign of Great Trust

Hunor Németh himself expresses great appreciation for the development he has experienced at F.C. Copenhagen.

“I’m very happy to sign a new contract, and I see it as a sign of great trust from the club. It shows they believe in me for the future, and I’m grateful for that. I hope to repay that trust by performing well and contributing to the team,” says Hunor Németh.

“I’ve spent the first six months with the first team getting used to the level, and although it took a bit of time in the beginning, I now feel it’s more natural for me to keep up and be part of the squad. My goal now is to make my debut and then gradually compete for a place on the team.”

Neestrup: Hunor Must Keep Working Hard

Head coach Jacob Neestrup has observed the midfielder closely throughout the spring and has no doubt that an exciting future awaits Hunor Németh in the white shirt.

“Hunor is a talented young player who we value highly at the club. He has a strong understanding of the game, great stamina, and he works extremely hard. That’s what he needs to keep doing, because that’s what it takes to earn first-team minutes,” says Jacob Neestrup.

Hunor Németh will switch shirt number from 48 to 28 for the upcoming season.
