Update on away section at Brøndby Stadium

F.C. Copenhagen today summoned representatives from Brøndby IF's management to a meeting regarding the sudden restriction of the away section for Thursday's playoff match at Brøndby Stadium.

Late on Tuesday evening, Brøndby IF announced that F.C. Copenhagen's away section would be reduced by 600 seats. F.C. Copenhagen has therefore demanded a full explanation of the process.

Meetings have now been held with both the Divisions Association and Brøndby IF, and F.C. Copenhagen has unsuccessfully sought alternative solutions that ensure access for the 2,100 F.C. Copenhagen fans who have already purchased tickets to the away section.

Unfortunately, this cannot be accommodated by Brøndby IF, as it is not possible to do so at such short notice for safety reasons.

F.C. Copenhagen has received a comprehensive review of the process, which now results in 600 tickets being cancelled with 29 hours to go before the match. This is deeply frustrating.

The situation is facing heavy criticism, and F.C. Copenhagen finds it highly problematic that Brøndby IF has not managed to secure the necessary permits to hold the playoff match with a full away section.

Unfortunately, the situation cannot be changed at such short notice, and therefore all ticket buyers will soon receive direct notification about Thursday's match. Notifications will be sent both to those who still have an active ticket and to those who will unfortunately have their ticket cancelled.

The cancelled tickets will be removed from the system and will no longer provide access to Brøndby Stadium. In return, all disappointed fans who no longer have an active ticket will be able to get a free pitcher of beer or soda at the Old Irish Pub on Vesterbrogade, where the match will be shown on a big screen.

F.C. Copenhagen deeply apologises to our fans.
