Mads Roerslev joins Vendsyssel FF on loan
FC Copenhagen have agreed to send Mads Roerslev on loan to Vendsyssel FF until the summer of 2019.
FCK manager Ståle Solbakken said: "Mads is a very talented full-back that we still have a good faith in.
"But he is a little trapped behind Peter Ankersen, who has been incredibly strong and stable all autumn, and therefore Mads has not had as many minutes on the pitch as he needs for his development.
"With the purchase of Guillermo Varela, we are now covered very strongly as soon as he is ready, and that gives us the opportunity to give Mads some experience and playing time at a high level at Vendsyssel, where we will of course follow him closely."
Roerslev also spoke to FCK.dk and expressed his desire to get minutes under his belt.
"I'm proud and happy to play at FCK, where I train with great players, but I need to play some more minutes in high-level matches," he said.
"Vendsyssel has proved to be a good opportunity for me here in the spring. I will do everything I can to help them stay in the Superliga, and I look forward to meeting my new teammates and getting started with the training."
Roerslev boasts 13 appearances for FC Copenhagen's first team and is contracted to the club until the summer of 2021.
