Lions suffer defeat in Danish Cup final

F.C. Copenhagen had chances to win the Danish Cup final on Thursday but a late Lee Han-beom goal earned AGF the trophy in a packed Parken Stadium.

Reflecting on the match, FCK head coach Bo Svensson said: "Of course we are all disappointed right now – staff, players and all F.C. Copenhagen fans, because we had sensed we could get more (than we got).

"I can't blame the players for anything, I think they delivered an acceptable performance in a close and even match that was ultimately decided on a set piece.

"We knew that they are good at set pieces, but I think we defended them well throughout the match, right up until the decisive moment. That was the tipping point in an otherwise close match.

"Offensively we couldn't really get through enough today, and it's a bit of a shame when a 17-year-old striker like Dadason is the one who makes the best impression and keeps their goalkeeper busy.

"Now we have to allow ourselves some time to be disappointed, because the cup has long been a big goal, especially due to the way our Superliga season has developed. But we have to pick ourselves up and get ready again for the last games, because in a week and a half we have another chance to get into Europe."
