FCK reach Danish Cup quarters

F.C. Copenhagen progressed to the quarter-finals of this season's Danish Cup on Tuesday with a 1-0 victory over FC Midtjylland in Parken.

Roony Bardghji grabbed the winner on 77 minutes to send the Lions into the last eight and maintain the defence of the trophy won last season.

Andreas Cornelius and Christian Sørensen also went close for the hosts but it was Roony who popped up during an attritional second half to split the sides.

Bardghji was named the Carlsberg Man of the Match after the game, ahead of Cornelius and Oscar Højlund.

The quarter-final draw will take place on Thursday evening, with the dates for the two legs set for 5-7 December and 9-11 December.
