FCK players react to SønderjyskE win

FC Copenhagen beat SønderjyskE 2-1 on Saturday to maintain the team's 100 per cent start to the new 3F Superliga season.

Goals from Dame N'Doye and Jens Stage secured the victory for the Lions, who now look towards Tuesday's UEFA Champions League qualifying clash with Red Star Belgrade.

FCK.dk caught up with some of the players…

Jonas Wind (named July Superliga Player of the Month)
"Of course, I'm happy and proud of the Superliga award I received before the match. It's a great gift to me and the team, because if we had lost the first three matches, I probably wouldn't have been nominated.

"Today we could have settled the game before the break, but still had to fight after the beautiful goal of Jens Stage to make it 2-1."

Pep Biel
"My first impression of Danish football is that there was a good atmosphere in the stadium and that fast football was played. But it suited me fine. I had a right-footed shot that went close at the end, but otherwise my left foot was best today."

Victor Nilsson
"I've fitted into the squad today and of course it helps that we're playing a lot of matches at the moment. But there are still some things I need to work on in the back line."

Viktor Fischer
"We were foolish not to convert all our chances in the first half, and SønderjyskE smelled blood. That's why the game became harder the longer it went on, but winning such a match is also a big high."

Carlo Holse
"That was what you might call a hard-fought victory, where we had to work for it after the break. My interaction with Varela is getting better and better, although the language is still a bit of a challenge, but especially in the first half we got into a lot of good positions."
