FCK hire Ben Rosen as new physical coach

F.C. Copenhagen have hired Englishman Ben Rosen as the new physical coach at the club. Rosen joins the club after working for Malmö FF and has previously worked with the Danish national team and in the Premier League with Southampton FC.

The 30-year-old will arrive at FCK on 28 August, where he will be part of a newly created Physical Performance team, led daily by the Head of Physical Performance, David Cosgrave.

"We have an ambition to compete with the best in the world, as we have just experienced with the match against Manchester United," says FCK manager Ståle Solbakken.

"In order to have a realistic opportunity to achieve this, we must develop and pursue all the small improvements we can make in everyday life and in training.

"Therefore, based on the clubs external and internal analysis, we have designed a new Physical Performance program to optimise everything we can in relation to the players' physical ability. Here is where Ben will play an important role."

"Ben arrives with great experience from the Premier League, the Danish national team and Malmö FF, where he has been at international level.

"He is used to having to handle and work with a squad that must perform both nationally and internationally at the same time. We need experts in all positions within the club and in Ben we get someone with this capacity in his field. We are very much looking forward to working with him."

Rosen has an in-depth knowledge of both Scandinavian and Danish football and is looking forward to working at FCK.
"I consider it a great compliment that FCK have come to me with this opportunity," he said.

"Everyone knows FCK's merits both in Denmark and not least in Europe, where Copenhagen have been on the football map year after year.

"These are great shoes I have to fill and I, along with the rest of the team, must try to further increase the amazing work that has been done at the club for many years to come.

"It is a big task that I look forward to getting started with, alongside the many talented people who are at the club and in the team. I look forward to meet all of them and I hope to contribute to more success in the future for FCK."
