F.C. Copenhagen Women set for promotion battle in 2026

F.C. Copenhagen Women capped off a remarkable 2025 on Saturday with a 3-1 win over B.93 to stay second in the Danish B-Liga.

A year that began with a promotion push to the second tier ended in front of 570 spectators in Vanløse as the Lionesses took the initiative from the first kick.

Maria Hovmark opened the scoring after just seven minutes, with Emma Brandt doubling the hosts' lead shortly after the break.

Luna Lagerbon Bruun halved the deficit for the visitors, before Sunneva Sigurvinsdottir made it 3-1 from a corner.

Second in the B-Liga
The Lionesses must settle for second place in B-Liga over the winter break, with ASA Aarhus two points behind of us. ASA won the most recent meeting with the Lionesses in Vanløse 4-2 to take first place.

With the autumn over, qualifying games for promotion to the A-Liga await in the spring. The top four from the B-Liga are paired with the bottom two from the A-Liga and play from the end of March until June for four places in Denmark's top flight after the summer break.

10 games await in the spring
We also know who our opponents will be over the 10-game mini league next spring.

There are two places in the A-Liga up for grabs, with ASA Aarhus, Thisted, and Østerbro IF alongside ourselves from the B-Liga, as well as FC Midtjylland and OB from the A-Liga.

Together with our partners Andel, adidas, Codan, Audi and Carlsberg, F.C. Copenhagen would like to thanks all supporters for an amazing year. We'll see you again at Vanløse Idrætspark in 2026, where the exciting fight for promotion awaits.
