F.C. København spiller med Røde Kors på brystet i Barcelona

F.C. Copenhagen shirt auction raises €6,000 for Danish Red Cross

The collaboration between F.C. Copenhagen, Unibet and the Danish Red Cross has raised 45,454 Danish krone (€6,000 / £5,300) via a shirt auction conducted this winter.

Three F.C. Copenhagen shirts – worn during UEFA Champions League games against Villarreal and Barcelona, and emblazoned with the Danish Red Cross logo – have been sold at auction to raise significant funds for the Red Cross.

The amount is a valuable contribution to the Red Cross’ efforts to help people in vulnerable situations – both domestically and around the world.

At the same time, the special shirts created great international visibility during the two matches in Spain and focused attention on the organisation’s important work to a global audience.

This was made possible through a strong partnership between FCK, Unibet and the Red Cross. Unibet generously provided the space on the shirts, as Spanish marketing regulations do not allow their front-of-shirt logo.

F.C. Copenhagen is proud to once again contribute to the Red Cross’ vital work as part of our three-year partnership. When our community and commitment to football is translated into concrete support, it helps to strengthen the efforts of those who need it most.

In September, the team's shirts raised over 250,000 kroner through a special auction for the Red Cross, and most recently, the players' discarded training gear set a sales record at the Red Cross's second-hand shop on Fælledvej in Copenhagen. Every time fans and partners support, they help to make a real difference.
