F.C. Copenhagen adjust sporting structure
F.C. Copenhagen’s sporting organisation is being adjusted to ensure better utilisation of the club's specialist expertise.
Nils Koppen assumes the role of Technical Director from Andreas Hintze Rocks, who will take on the role of Recruitment Insights Lead within the sporting department under the Technical Director structure.
The purpose of the reorganisation is to create a clear interim structure and to ensure the optimal use of the two specialists’ abilities. The change comes at the request of Andreas Hintze Rocks, and he and Nils Koppen will continue to work in close collaboration, built on a strong professional relationship and mutual respect.
Nils Koppen leaves the role of Head of Scouting and Recruitment and will serve as acting Technical Director for the time being. He will therefore lead preparations ahead of F.C. Copenhagen's summer transfer window until a new Sporting Director is in place.
Belgian Nils Koppen joined F.C. Copenhagen in the autumn of 2025 with significant experience from senior roles in European football at Rangers FC, PSV Eindhoven and KRC Genk.
“Nils will be responsible for everything related to transfers, and we are pleased that he is taking on this important responsibility so that we have a clear organisation for sporting operations in the coming period,” says F.C. Copenhagen CEO, Jacob Lauesen.
“This adjustment should be seen as part of the preliminary analysis of the club’s sporting structure, and Nils and I will work closely together in the coming period.”
The reorganisation takes effect immediately.
