Copenhagen Futsal becomes latest FCK collaborative club
Earlier this season, F.C. Copenhagen announced a new step in the club's collaboration network, with the inclusion of a futsal club for the first time.
F.C. Copenhagen have more than 70 partner clubs around Denmark and abroad – and we can now proudly add Copenhagen Futsal to that list.
Niels Madsen, head of F.C. Copenhagen Club Collaboration, said of the collaboration back in September: "We are very happy to welcome Copenhagen Futsal as a new partner club in the F.C. Copenhagen Club Collaboration.
"We have a great desire to bring other forms of football into the FCK Club Collaboration, and the collaboration with Copenhagen Futsal gives us a unique opportunity to do just that.
"Futsal is a sport that is enjoying great development, and it is important for us to be an active player in it, so that together we can increase awareness of futsal and spread the sport further.
"Copenhagen Futsal are among the best futsal clubs in Denmark and are a strong partner, and we have a shared vision of getting more children and young people in Copenhagen to play futsal, so that the sport will fill even more of the Copenhagen football landscape.
"We see many exciting opportunities in futsal, and we are very much looking forward to the collaboration with Copenhagen Futsal."
Tai Pundik, from Copenhagen Futsal, said: "There is no doubt that this agreement between Copenhagen Futsal and Scandinavia's largest football club and Denmark's football flagship, F.C. Copenhagen, is a whole new chapter in the development of our sport.
"In many ways, it is an important recognition of futsal as part of the Copenhagen football family, and we look forward to the collaboration.
"Futsal is a rapidly growing independent sport with its own DNA, and futsal training is a powerful development tool, especially for children. With this agreement, we will together make the capital's football family even bigger and stronger, for the benefit of both futsal and football."
