Parken is Denmark's national stadium and F.C. Copenhagen's home. It is a cultural beacon – not only in the capital, but across the country.
This is where experiences we never forget are created. This is where one million annual visitors come together. But Parken's impact is about more than big experiences and great memories.
At F.C. Copenhagen, we open Parken to the city – even when it's not a match day. We work to create a responsible Parken Stadium that contributes to developing the club in a more sustainable direction: socially, economically and environmentally. This is done through strong, strategic partnerships and an ambition to use Parken for public good.
In collaboration with Stop Spild, Parken actively marks Denmark's National Food Waste Day each year. This day, established in 2020, is dedicated to raising awareness about the prevention and reduction of food waste and coincides with the UN's International Food Waste Day.
Parken has previously hosted events on National Food Waste Day, including a workshop for students from Roskilde Business School focusing on ideas to combat food waste. We work to reduce our own food waste, and we collaborate with Stop Spild Lokalt to offer food to the local community on the day. This is part of our commitment to promoting sustainability and supporting local initiatives.
Our catering strategy carries a strong focus on sustainability and responsibility. When you enjoy food and drink at Parken Stadium, you can be sure that we have prioritised local, green and sustainable solutions. We believe that this not only results in better quality, but also contributes to a more sustainable future.
We strive to buy locally and work closely with our suppliers to ensure that our products meet our high standards.
Almost 40% of our products are organic, and we place great importance on using local Danish raw materials. We also investigate various certifications in relation to climate and fair trade, to ensure that our purchases contribute positively to both the environment and society.
We have implemented a strict code of conduct for our suppliers to ensure that they meet our high demands for sustainability and responsibility. In this way, we work to ensure that our catering is not only tasty, but also contributes to a better world.
In Parken, we focus on reducing the use of chemicals and actively work towards implementing more natural alternatives and environmentally friendly products. We strive to minimise our negative environmental footprint.
How many football stadiums have bee hives on their roof? Well, Parken Stadium is one!
We are happy to support Bybi (City Bee) and their mission to inspire people in Copenhagen to plant flowers to support pollinators like bees. The honey from Parken is not only delicious, but also an opportunity to spread the message about the importance of biodiversity and sustainability.
This local honey is a result of our commitment to supporting sustainable and locally rooted initiatives, and we hope that the honey from the roof of Parken Stadium will inspire action and the preservation of our local nature and biodiversity.
