Razak Pimpong signs for Viking Stavanger

Razak Pimpong has signed a contract with Norwegian Tippeliga-club Viking Stavanger. The Ghanesian International came to Denmark in 2000 and played for FC Midtjylland before joining F.C. Copenhagen in January 2006. He played 37 games and scored once – the winner in the Royal League-final against Lillestrøm in 2006.

Carsten V. Jensen, sports director in F.C. Copenhagen, says:

- Pimpong has been a role-model for the integration of players and right from the first day, he has contributed on and off the pitch. Unfortunately he has not been playing as much as he and we had hoped and believed. We see the move to Viking as a good move for all parts, and we wish “Pim” good luck in Stavanger.

Razak Pimpong says:

- I have had a good time in Copenhagen, and I will certainly miss my many friends in the club. But I still have ambitions with my football, and when I realized the interest from Viking, it was relatively easy for me to accept their offer. I would like to thank all FCK-fans for the super support they have given me. Now I’m looking forward to my new football-life in Norway.
