André Bergdølmo signs for Strømsgodset

The 35 year old Norwegian ex-international André Bergdølmo has signed a 2 year-contract with Strømsgodset from the Norwegian Tippeliga. He will join the newly-promoted club from Drammen immediately.

- I have had a great time in Coenhagen, both on a personal and a sporting level. From the beginning I had confidence from Hans Backe, and now with Ståle Solbakken the team is even stronger with a lot of promising young players like William Kvist, Morten Bertolt and Oscar Wendt.

- I have received an attractive offer from Norway, and I think it's the time is right for me, but I will look back on my time in Copenhagen with pleasure, says André Bergdølmo.

The experienced and pleasant all round-defender played 53 official games for F.C. Copenhagen and scored 5 goals. He made his debut against FC Nordsjælland in July 2005 and played his last game against Celtic in Glasgow in UEFA Champions League.

During his stay, Andre won the national championship and the Royal League-trophee, and he took part in the memorable UEFA Cup-games against Hamburger SV in 2005 and the UEFA Champions League-qualifying games in 2006 against his former club Ajax Amsterdam. He also played the first two Champions League-games against Benfica and Celtic, before a groin injury sidelined him for the rest of the 2006.
