Snekkersten IF er ny samarbejdsklub i F.C. København

Snekkersten IF become latest collaborative club

F.C. Copenhagen are proud to welcome Snekkersten IF as the latest collaborative club.

Snekkersten IF's sports director Jan Henriksen says that the agreement is an important step in Snekkersten's work with Den Blå Tråd and will help to raise the quality of the club's children's and youth football.

A long-term agreement that strengthens the foundation
"The collaboration is based on a common understanding that good football development starts in everyday life on the training field and in the safe environment of the coaches," says Jan.

"Therefore, the agreement is not about results here and now, but about strengthening the foundation on which children and young people develop over time.

“With the continued collaboration, Snekkersten IF will have access to professional coaching, inspiration and tools from one of the strongest football environments in the Nordic region. This includes coach development, modern training principles and a clear focus on technique, game understanding and enjoyment of the game.

“The collaboration with F.C. Copenhagen is about getting better at what we already believe in: skilled coaches, clear direction and development on the children’s terms.

“This is not a quick fix – it is a long-term investment in quality and coherence, which should benefit our entire club.

Talent development and fun children's football
"The collaboration also gives the club's players the opportunity for inspiration and new experiences, while Snekkersten IF maintains its clear focus providing room for community and local roots within football. One Club – One Feeling. Talent development and good children's football are not opposites.

"With the agreement, Snekkersten IF sends a clear signal: the club will be a place where children thrive, learn and develop - in an environment with clear values and a strong professional direction."

Happy with formalised collaboration
Niels Madsen, head of F.C. Copenhagen's club collaboration initiative, says: "We are very happy that Snekkersten IF have chosen to enter into a collaboration with us.

“They were previously involved when we had a collaboration with Helsingør, and after that collaboration ended, we have had a very positive and constructive dialogue with Snekkersten IF, which has now happily become a formalised collaboration.

“Snekkersten IF are a well-organised and well-run football club with many members, especially in children's football. The club has a clear social profile and takes great social responsibility for its members and the local area, including parasport, and provides camps for children and young people with special needs.

“Their approach fits very well with our own, which is about all children having the right to enjoy good football training, and we must give a lot of children good experiences with football in a safe environment.

”Snekkersten IF also have great strategic and sporting ambitions, for both girls and boys, and we look forward to helping and supporting the strategic and sporting processes, where coaching, dialogue and knowledge sharing as central elements.

“We will jointly develop the club both on and off the field with the common goal of strengthening the strategic and sporting work in the club, and in turn further improve the club's children's environment.

“We welcome Snekkersten IF as a partner club, and we are very much looking forward to starting the collaboration."
