FCK partner club IF Bytoften named Sports Association of the Year 2025

F.C. Copenhagen would like to express our congratulations to IF Bytoften, who have been named the Sports Association of the Year for 2025.

Bytoften has been a partner club with F.C. Copenhagen since 2015 and has, among other things, laid the groundwork for our Train With Med FCK activities for several seasons.

The club from Gladsaxe, north of Copenhagen, won the award due to its significant social commitment. The award also comes with 80,000 Danish Kroner. The award was presented by the Danish Sports Association and AP Pension, with the winners presented at the SPORT 2025 show in Herning.

“It’s absolutely crazy,” says the club’s long-time chairman Thomas Dreyer to dif.dk.

“It is a recognition that we are doing the right thing in the association. For me personally it is very emotional. I have been chairman of the club for 28 years, and 99 percent of my friends and my circle of friends are from IF Bytoften.

“However, it is not an award for me, but for all the volunteers across IF Bytoften. Here you are not just a volunteer, but you are part of a voluntary community that can accommodate everyone. Just as we can accommodate all different types of members.”

F.C. Copenhagen would like to wish everyone at IF Bytoften a huge congratulations on the award, which received more than 900 nominations for other organisations.

“IF Bytoften are a very well-functioning association with a strong community driven by enthusiasts who only want the best for all members.

“IF Bytoften take great social responsibility and are strongly rooted in their local community. The association is built on a very strong community, and they succeed enormously in creating security, joy and development for children, young people and adults.

“It is always a great pleasure to come to IF Bytoften, where unity, inclusiveness, security and joy are clearly felt. We are very happy with our collaboration with IF Bytoften, and we look forward to continuing it."
