FCK prepare for Danish Cup final

F.C. Copenhagen face FC Midtjylland in the Danish Cup final on Thursday – the first time the two sides have met in the tournament's showpiece game.

FCK head into the tie having already secured their place in the European playoff match. If we don't win the final, we will compete in the playoff. FCM, meanwhile, saw their hopes of winning the Superliga dashed over the weekend and will finish the season in second place.

FCK head coach Bo Svensson confirmed on Wednesday that he has the sae 20-man squad available that were present on Sunday, with Andreas Cornelius out injured.

"I won't rule out the possibility that he can be ready if we are to play in the European playoff, but hopefully we will never find out," noted Svensson.

"We are facing a really good team that has a clear concept and a clear playing style, and that has lost very few games this season. Therefore, we must deliver a maximum performance to win the cup, which of course means a lot to both teams.

The final is completely sold out – even in hospitality – and so fans unable to attend the game can instead watch on Viaplay Sport News and Viaplay.
