Tristan Christensen signs new FCK agreement

Young midfielder Tristan Christensen has agreed a new contract at F.C. Copenhagen, meaning the U17 player will continue his development with the Lions.

Christensen, 16, is already a regular member of the U19 squad and has represented Denmark at youth level. The central midfielder joined FCK Talent from Gentofte Football Academy as an U13 player.

Grahn: A mature player with a strong understanding of the game
Development Director Morten Grahn is pleased that all parties have now come to a long-term agreement on Christensen''s future.

"Tristan is a skilled all-round central midfielder with his greatest strength in his dynamic playing style and his strong defensive control. He reads the game fantastically, has a good overview and great maturity for his age," says Grahn.

“He has been on an accelerated pathway, which means that despite his status as an U17 player, he has already moved up and is a permanent part of our U19 squad. At the same time, he is also in the DBU's national set-up.

“Although he has taken big steps in a short time, there is still some way to go before he can play senior football. This is an important part of his development, which we are incredibly excited to help him with here at F.C. Copenhagen."

Christensen: Huge day and the right place
For Christensen, the contract is proof that the work on the training pitch is paying off, and the midfielder is looking forward to taking his next steps.

“It is a huge day for me, and I am incredibly proud to sign this agreement,” says Christensen.

“I have always looked up to the talented central midfielders who have played for F.C. Copenhagen over the years, and it is a great motivation to dream of following in their footsteps.

“I am just really happy to be in the right place. We have a fantastic environment here with good coaches who want the best for me, and I just have to keep working hard every single day."
