N'Doye extends FCK contract
FC Copenhagen have extended Dame N'Doye's contract until the summer of 2020.
Ståle: The best forward in FCK-history
"N'Doye has been very important for us, since he returned," says manager Ståle Solbakken.
"Before signing him last summer, we scouted him thoroughly and saw that he still had the qualities we were looking for. He has proved it again and again during this season, and in many ways his statistics speak for themselves.
"He has also evolved as a person, and he is a very strong character in the squad and helps the others in the right direction. When he arrived, we talked about a longer engagement, and we are very happy that we now can continue to 2020.
”I think he is the best forward in the club's history, and he has still got great qualities. He has tried a lot, but he's still ambitious with a strong winning instinct, and I'm convinced that he will also be important for us in the future."
N'Doye has this season scored 14 goals in 33 games, and he has played the second-most minutes in the squad. Overall, he has scored 96 goals in 183 FCK games.
N'Doye: Like coming home
"Returning to FC Copenhagen was like come homing for me," says N'Doye.
"I'm happy to be here, and I'm very honoured by the reception I got from our fans and the way they support me and the team.
"They have always meant a lot to me, and they are a big reason why I enjoy being a part of the club, both on and off the pitch.
"FCK have great ambitions, and I'm ready to give everything to win titles and play with the best in Europe.
"We must work hard to achieve this, but we have an exciting and talented team with a great future. I look forward to being part of it!"
