FCK to face Sparta Prague in January friendly

F.C. Copenhagen will travel to Czechia next month for a friendly match with Sparta Prague on Saturday 20 January.

The Lions are already down to play Rangers FC at Ibrox during the Danish Superliga's winter break and Jacob Neestrup's men can now look forward to another friendly on the horizon.

We intend to stream the game, which kicks off at 3pm, on the FCK App and via tv.fck.dk.

This will be the first time FCK have played a friendly with Sparta Prague. However, we have met them four times in the European competition – most recently in August's third qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League. That double-header finished 0-0 in Parken and then 3-3 in Prague. FCK progressed in the resulting penalty shootout.

We also faced Sparta in the Europa League group stage back in 2009, where we won 1-0 in Parken and 3-0 in Prague.
