Pierre Bengtsson vender tilbage til FCK

Pierre Bengtsson returns to F.C. Copenhagen

Bengtsson played 155 games for F.C. Copenhagen between 2011 and 2015 and he will join the club from next season and regain his former shirt number 3.

"Ludwig Augustinsson is leaving for Werder Bremen at the end of the season and we have been looking for a player, who, together with Nicolai Boilesen, can cover the position at left-back,” said manager Ståle Solbakken.

“Pierre knows FCK very well and he has got everything it takes to be a strong full-back at FCK: a great physical capacity and a very good left foot for crosses and set-pieces. Furthermore, he is a great asset to our training environment."

FCK CEO Anders Hørsholt said: “This transfer is a good example of a player who has left our club with a good feeling and has had the desire to come back one day if the opportunity was right. We were very happy with Pierre when he was here the last time and we look forward to welcoming him again."

Bengtsson signed for Mainz 05 in January 2015 and this season he has been on loan to SC Bastia in the French Ligue 1.

“I have had a good talk with Ståle and it feels totally right for me to return to FCK," he said.

"I have followed the club since I left and it’s impressive how well they have performed. I’m really looking forward to being a part of the club again and I can’t imagine anything better than to return to Telia Parken again."
