Falk: Parken crowd can help us vs Silkeborg

F.C. Copenhagen's Rasmus Falk says the home fans in Parken can make the difference on Saturday when the Lions take on Silkeborg in the Danish Superliga.

Falk and co. have started the domestic season on a five-game winning streak and the playmaker is exciting to get back in front of the home fans are Tuesday's battling draw in the Champions League playoff at Raków.

And Falk knows all about this weekend's opposition.

"Of course, we have great respect for Silkeborg IF and Kent ,Nielsen and the way his team plays. Silkeborg recently won 2-0 at home against FC Nordsjælland so we expect them to bring a lot of momentum," says Falk.

"I have also had the pleasure of having Kent Nielsen as coach, and we know that Silkeborg are always a team that are set up very well. We know they're a good footballing team that has a high technical level."

A demanding match schedule
The midfielder will make his 199th Superliga appearance for FCK if he gets playing time on Saturday, and there's no let-up to the number of games that are coming.

"There is no doubt that it is a demanding match schedule we are working on, for both players and staff. But we also love being in this tight programme because it means we are doing well," says Falk.

"A lot of quality has been added to the squad, but we still have a lot of young players who can contribute a lot. I believe that we have a good squad composition right now, with great competition in all positions, so it requires everyone to be sharp in training and in matches.

"We have replaced quality with quality. This is the reason why we are still undefeated, and we are playing as we have done so far. But the season is still young and we will of course take it one game at a time time, while we also know the importance of getting off to a good start in the Superliga. We also know that the European matches we're currently playing are season-defining for F.C. Copenhagen.

"We always enjoy playing in Parken and we look forward to playing in front of the fans again. And we must continue the good run we are in, because it continues to give momentum to the team."

FCK vs Silkeborg IF kicks off at 4pm on Saturday. If you can't get to the game you can watch it live on 6/discovery+.
