Clem: We need 'flying start' vs Silkeborg
William Clem made his first start in the Superliga for more than six months on Sunday and, despite the 2-2 draw at FC Midtjylland, took away plenty of positives from the outing.
"It was great to start in the Superliga again," he said after training on Wednesday.
"That's what I've been training for. We didn't quite get the result we were looking for but we still got one point, and it could be important.
"There are also more things we can take from the game, because at times we played really well. We also created the chances we needed to win. We must of course finish better and stop our opponents from creating chances."
Clem could be in line to play against Silkeborg on Sunday in Parken. Discussing the match, he added: "It will probably be a slightly different game, because Silkeborg will not come with quite the same kind of power (as FCM). We will face a team that wants to play a little more, so we have to be ready for that while we are still figuring out what's going to work for us.
"Everyone in the squad knows that we have the knife at our throats in relation to the table, and the only thing we can do is win three points a game from now on. We must start with that on Sunday.
"We know that Silkeborg have a hard time in the Superliga but they have reached the cup final and are still a good football team who are good on the ball. We just have to show that we are even better when we play in Parken in front of our own fans. We have to get off to a flying start and take the initiative in the match."
FCK vs Silkeborg kicks off at 4pm on Sunday. Tickets are still available for the match and can be bought online today.
