Jores Okore

Okore sold to AaB

FC Copenhagen and Danish Superleague-club AaB from Aalborg has agreed on a transfer of Jores Okore.

Okore joined Copenhagen last season but he has not played as much as he wanted.

“We took the opportunity, when Jores was available last summer but things doesn't always turn out as expected. It is mainly because Erik Johansson and Mathias Zanka has played extremely strong in central defence, so Jores has not played as much as he wanted,” says manager Ståle Solbakken.

“There are no bad feelings from either the club or Jores, and we have agreed that it is best for his career to get the opportunity to play in another club. A strong team like AaB will be a good base for him, and we wish Jores all the best in the future,” adds Ståle.

“I have had a good time in FCK, where I have been treated fair and honest all the time. It is no secret that I want more games. I respect that Ståle and the staff has chosen other players, and I have learned from my stay in Copenhagen with strong teammates. Now I look forward to a new start in AaB, which is a strong club with good ambitions,” says Jores Okore.
