Nordstrand puts FCK top in Europe

Nordstrand to depart at season's close

A deal has been agreed between Morten Nordstrand and FC Nordsjælland, for the FCK striker to join his old club on the 1 July 2012.

Nordstrand will continue to be a Copenhagen player until the end of the season, enabling him to play the spring season of the Superliga and DBU Cup.

Head coach and sports director Carsten V. Jensen commented on Nordstrand’s agreed transfer:

- I've obviously been informed throughout the process about Morten's future, and I understand his decision to change clubs this summer. From today until the end of the season Nordstrand will continue to be judged on an equal footing with the other strikers in the squad, and we have agreed that he will show his commitment to the club for the rest of the spring.

Nordstrand himself said:

- I'm still a Copenhagen player for six more months, and I will do everything possible to help us win the championship and also the DBU Cup.

Nordstrand arrived at Copenhagen in the summer of 2007 from FC Nordsjælland, and has until now played 123 matches and scored 41 goals.
