Ståle: A stable and disciplined performance

F.C. Copenhagen manager Ståle Solbakken was relatively satisfied after the 1-0 UEFA Europa League win over Lugano on Thursday night.

Michael Santos' winning goal early in the second half secured three vital group points for the Lions.

“There was no flashy effort today, but we delivered a stable and disciplined performance," Ståle said.

"The whole team delivered the goods - and every man seemed ready. Of course, there were some who were better than others tonight, but overall it was a good performance.

“I'm very pleased with Pieros Sotiriou, he was good as a target man tonight - and he was good at distributing the ball. I'm also very happy with Pierre Bengtsson, he did well too - and the same can be said about Viktor Fischer."
