Mohamed Daramy

Daramy rejoins FCK on loan

F.C Copenhagen have signed Mohamed Daramy on loan from AFC Ajax for the rest of the season. Daramy therefore returns to Copenhagen after a year in Amsterdam.

Christiansen: A good solution for all
“This is a good solution for us, Ajax and Mohamed," says FCK sporting director Peter Christiansen.

“We are getting a player of very high quality who knows the club inside out and can contribute immediately in a period when we have many big things on our plate.

“We know what he can do and we have no doubt that he will be a great asset for us again. At the same time, we can give him the opportunity for more playing time, which he has been missing, and he can strengthen the possibility of him making the Denmark World Cup squad, for which we believe he is a strong candidate.

“In addition, Ajax get the opportunity to give Mo the opportunity to develop with matches at a high level.”

Daramy: Great to come home
Daramy himself is looking forward to representing Copenhagen again and playing in Parken.

“It will be great to come home to Copenhagen again, where I look forward to doing everything I can to defend the championship, win the cup and chase the Champions League," says Daramy.

“I know what is expected of me and I know I have to work hard to live up to it. FCK are in many ways a home for me, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone again and not least the fans in Parken.”

Thorup: We know we will get quality
Head coach Jess Thorup sees the arrival of Daramy as a big plus for the team's possibilities.

“We have always said that it is only quality that counts if we are to have added players to the squad, and we know that we will get that with Mo,” says Thorup.

“He is fantastic one on one and he is also a player who works hard for the team and loves the club. We are looking forward to having him back in the fold.”

Daramy joins the Lions immediately and will train with the team from today.
