 I the summer of 2008 Norwegian coach Bård Wiggen joined F.C. Copenhagen as Assistant Coach to Ståle Solbakken. As his last job before joining F.C. Copenhagen, he worked in Start Kristiansand, where his job was to develop top players (or "toppspillerutvikler” as they say in Norway).

Bård Wiggen has many years of experience with football at the highest level – both as a coach and as a player. As a player Bård has played for many years for Rosenborg BK, and in 1988 he helped then win the Norwegian championship, as well as the Norwegian Cup. Apart from Rosenborg, he has also played for Strømsgodset, another club from Tippeligaen. ´

In 2008 Bård Wiggen got his "UEFA Pro licens" (in the same class as Ståle Solbakken by the way). As a coach, Bård Wiggen has had a very versatile career, and has worked for Drafn, Mjøndalen, Aalesund, Start Kristiansand – having held different positions in the clubs, e.g. as Head Coach, Assistant Coach or as a "toppspillerutvikler”.

For the national Norwegian team, Bård Wiggen was Assistant Coach for the U-19 team from 2004 to 2008.
